Next up is the Character Design section! This will mainly feature creations I’ve done for the shows I’m currently developing. This helps my audience gain a better understanding of the types of characters that really resonate with me. I attribute my taste to the TV shows and video games I’ve enjoyed over the years and in a lot of ways these designs owe themselves to that. They feature similar key elements at their cores, but are transformed into my own unique vision.
Back in 2019, I randomly got the inspiration to create a character based on a turnip. From there, my brain ran wild with the idea of vegetable personas and I ended up making a ton of them in the days that followed. I tried to make each stand on its own with an easily recognizable and endearing personality, while also trying to make them fit together through a cohesive art style.
This series is particularly special to me, and I have been developing it since 2020. It stars three aliens—Beezy, Beezo, and Humphreys—on their adventures to learn more about Earth. It aims to be a nonsensical comedy with surrealist humor and a loose story format, a type of animation I've always extensively enjoyed. Did I mention they live at the dump?
